Founded in 2012, Talisman Therapeutic Riding provides year-round equine-assisted activities for people of all ages facing cognitive, physical, emotional, and social challenges. As the only full-time center of its kind on Maryland’s Eastern Shore, Talisman serves clients from counties across Maryland and the Washington D.C. area. Employing PATH-certified instructors, Talisman offers a peaceful 30-acre farm setting designed to facilitate personal growth and healing through enriching outdoor experiences with horses. In addition to numerous therapeutic riding programs, Talisman is a licensed Horse Discovery Center, allowing more people to discover the power of horses. As a 501(c)(3) non-profit, Talisman continues to grow its community outreach through partnerships enabling veterans, youth groups, businesses, and more to achieve volunteer goals and form bonds with these magnificent animals.
